• Engineer Milton Munodawafa clinched the Team Leader of the Year Award while ZETDC Eastern Region scooped the Public Sector Enterprise Award for the year 2017
ZETDC Eastern Region displayed its business prowess by winning two esteemed awards at a colourful Megafest Holdings Business Awards ceremony in Mutare recently, setting the pace for what promises to be once again a good year for the power utility.
The event brought together the who is who in the corporate sector, business people and captains of industry in Manicaland and was officiated by Cde Monica Mutsvangwa, the Honourable Minister of State for Provincial Affairs – Manicaland.
The event was staged to recognise those who excelled in various categories in the business year 2017.
The awards are a culmination of intensive consultation and judging process whereby each Megafest business award recipient is nominated by local consumers through their undercover survey and their networking events followed by the compilation, sorting and confirmation of results, before contacting any nominated business organisation or professional. This process involves an extensive background search on the company and individuals who are nominated for the awards.
After this arduous selection process, the former General Manager (Eastern Region) Engineer Milton Munodawafa and ZETDC Eastern Region were nominated and ultimately came out tops in the categories of Team Leader of the Year Award and the Public Sector Enterprise of the Year 2017 Award respectively.
“The quintessential attribute of excellent Team Leadership is to know that two is better than one…Together, each achieves more. You don’t necessarily have to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.”
In his acceptance speech, Acting General Manager (Eastern Region) Engineer Abel Gurupira, who received the award on behalf of Engineer Munodawafa said, “The quintessential attribute of excellent Team Leadership is to know that two is better than one…Together, each achieves more. You don’t necessarily have to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.”
