PRIVACY POLICY.
Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company (ZETDC) (Private) Limited, Head Office and all its regional offices’ prime concern is the privacy of personal information of its Customers. This Privacy Policy document contains the type of information that is collected and recorded by ZETDC across all our products and services. It describes policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of information when users use our products and Services and tells users about their privacy rights and how the law protects them.
Additionally this Privacy Policy, provide additional information about ZETDC’s privacy practices related to particular Services where appropriate. Users can review such information before enabling or signing up for the particular Services.

The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural:

- “Data Protection Authority” means the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe established in terms of section 5 of the Postal and Telecommunications Act [Chapter 12:05].
- “Data Protection Laws” shall mean any applicable law relating to the processing, privacy and use of Personal Data, as applicable for the provision of the Services, including any corresponding or equivalent national laws or regulations; and any laws which implement any such laws; and any laws that replace, extend, re-enact, consolidate or amend any of the foregoing; all guidance, guidelines, codes of practice and codes of conduct issued by any relevant regulator, authority or body responsible for administering Data Protection Laws.
- “Data Subject” refers to an individual who is an identifiable person and the subject of the data.
- “Products” means an object that can be offered to you for sale by ZETDC.
- “Services” means an action of doing work for you as offered by ZETDC.
- “User” means anyone whouse Our Products and Services.
- “We” or “Us”, or “Our”, or “Ours” means ZETDC and all its regional offices.
- “You” means the customer. The person who subscribes to, uses or purchases any of ZETDC’s products and services or accesses the website and includes any person who accesses any of the products and services subscribed to.
- “ZETDC” meansZimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company.

On all our premises, we use Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance recordings. CCTV devices are installed at strategic locations to provide a safe and secure environment.

Our Services collect some data automatically when you use our Services. We may obtain information by automated means and other technologies. When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

- Log Files – These files log visitors when they visit our websites. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gather demographic information.

Information will be stored for as long as legally mandated under the laws of the Zimbabwe as may be changed by the Government from time to time.
COOKIES AND WEB BEACONS.
To make sure our websites function properly, we use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. The technologies we use may include:

HOW ZETDC DISCLOSES PERSONAL DATA.
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company (ZETDC) will never sell or disclose your personal data to third parties. However, ZETDC may disclose your personal data in the following circumstances:

ZETDC’s Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. ZETDC indemnifies itself from third party actions. It shall not be responsible for any actions of such third parties and you agree to hold ZETDC harmless for any violation of privacy that can result from the action of the third parties. Thus, You are advised to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS.
We may need to transfer your personal information outside Zimbabwe. Where we send information outside Zimbabwe, we will make sure that your information is properly protected in accordance with the applicable Data Protection Laws.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
